1) Rather than being convoluted ...A couple things:

1) Rather than being convoluted and unfalsifiable, the explanation for why climate change causes blizzards is extremely simple.

First of all, big storms like this happen when cold air over the land collides with warmer air from over the ocean, which also has more moisture in it. During the winter, temperatures are usually colder on land than over the oceans, so that's normal. However, one of the most notable effects of global warming has been that the temperature of the oceans has shot up considerably, meaning that ocean air is even warmer than usual. There is also about 10 percent more water vapor in the atmosphere than normal, about half of which scientists attribute to the effects of climate change.

So the ocean air is warmer and moist-er than it has ever been, which means that seeing more snowstorms is EXACTLY what we would expect to see with global warming. It's confusing at first glance, like most scientific concepts, but it's the truth.

2) The idea that we are in the "18th year of...not warming" is a statistic that was derived from people deliberately cherry-picking outlier data and putting it forth as the norm. In other words, it's an outright lie, and you have fallen for it. The actual data (from those science-y scientists at NASA) shows that 2014 was the hottest year we have ever recorded, and out of the last 15 years, 12 of them have also been the hottest years we've ever recorded.Patrick Dunnevanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03534259410454940198noreply@blogger.com
